10 Days in Santa Marta Jungle Trails, Hidden Beaches & Caribbean Vibes

This 10-day itinerary brings you the best of Colombia’s north coast—beaches, mountains, waterfalls, and desert. It's designed for travelers who want nature, culture, and freedom all in one unforgettable trip.

Day 1 – Arrival & El Rodadero Vibes

Arrive in Santa Marta and check into your beachfront hotel in El Rodadero. Rest, take a beachside walk, and end the night with local seafood and live music in Parque de los Novios.

Day 2 – Beach Day

Spend your day relaxing at one of Santa Marta’s most accessible beaches: Inca Inca, Playa Blanca, or Playa Grande. Swim, enjoy calm Caribbean waters, and soak up the sun.

Day 3 – Minca: Chill, Coffee & Jungle Views

Head up to Minca and check into your jungle eco-lodge. Today’s all about taking it slow—start with yoga or a dip in the pool, then visit a coffee or cacao farm, and wrap it up watching the sun dip behind the mountains.

Day 4 – Minca: Waterfalls & Hikes

Lace up your shoes and hit the trails. Explore Marinka Falls, Pozo Azul, and maybe squeeze in a visit to a scenic lookout point. Fresh air, jungle vibes, and waterfall swims—this is Minca at its best.

Day 5 – Tayrona National Park

Get ready for a full-day adventure in Tayrona National Park. Hike through thick jungle, spot wildlife, and reach dreamy beaches like La Piscina or Cabo San Juan. It’s Colombia’s most iconic natural park for a reason.

Days 6–8 – Palomino

Unplug and recharge in Palomino. Stay three nights in a beautiful beachfront hotel. Float down the river in a tube, eat fresh seafood, take a yoga class, or just chill in a hammock with a cold drink.

Days 9–10 – La Guajira Desert Adventure

Trade palm trees for desert dunes. Head north to La Guajira, where you’ll ride through dramatic landscapes to reach Cabo de la Vela or Punta Gallinas. Connect with Wayuu culture and spend the night under the stars in a rustic desert stay.
